Share the Blessing of a Holiday Meal
As Thanksgiving and Christmas approach, please consider sharing Christ’s love with neighbors in our community who are facing food insecurity. More than 14% of families in Charlotte and the surrounding area are affected by food insecurity, and your generosity can help bring hope and joy to families this holiday season.
Thanksgiving Food Donations: Donate non-perishable food items during the first week of November using the blue collection bins in the narthex.
Christmas Meal Bins: Fill a 16- to 18-gallon lidded tote with non-perishable items for a Christmas meal. Decorating the tote is encouraged! You may also include a personal note, an inspirational Bible verse or holiday wishes from your family. Bins may be dropped off in the box trucks in the parking lot on Saturday, Dec. 12, and Sunday, Dec. 13.
Suggested items include: Boxed mashed potatoes, stuffing mixes, canned soups, vegetables and fruit, cranberry sauce, gravy mixes, brownie, cake or cookie mix, and muffin or quick bread mix.
Thank you for sharing your blessings and helping make the holidays brighter for families in our community!
