Journey with Jesus
On Friday, March 27, at 7 pm in the main campus church, the children of our parish bring to life the Stations of the Cross and the Passion of Jesus in Journey with Jesus, a beautiful, powerful and prayerful reenactment of Christ’s final hours.
Come early for dinner! Our Lenten Pizza Night runs from 5:30 – 7 pm in the Banquet Room, hosted by the Faith Formation team. Dinner is free, with donations graciously accepted.
Prayer, Music and Stations of the Cross
Join us on Good Friday, April 3, at 7 pm in the church for a Lenten pilgrimage of Christ’s Passion brought to life through music and prayer. This powerful and contemplative evening is recommended for anyone seeking a unique and compelling addition to Holy Week.

Mary’s Cupboard is preparing 126 Easter baskets to bring joy to our neighbors in need this Easter season. You can help make a difference! If you’d like to contribute, please place your donations on the wire rack shelf in the hallway by the parking lot entrance of the Parish Center. The Parish Center is open daily until 1 pm.
Please drop off your donations by March 29, as the baskets are scheduled to be assembled on March 30. All items should be unopened, in their original containers with labels attached, and have a valid freshness date.

It supports the people of the Holy Land and the pilgrims that visit there and has been called “a concrete sign of communion with the Church of Jerusalem” in the midst of undeniably difficult circumstances. Key aspects of the collection include:
Purpose: To sustain the Christian minority in the Holy Land (Israel, Palestine, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon) amid conflict and instability.
Allocation: Funds support social services and over 65 holy shrines (including The Church of the Holy Sepulchre and the Church of the Nativity).
Impact: The 2025 collection aided 23 parishes, over 15 schools and 12,000 students.
Need: This collection is particularly vital during times of war when tourism, the primary source of income for Christians, halts.

As you may have read in the most recent Catholic News Herald, Bishop Michael Martin, OFM Conv., has issued new norms for cemeteries and columbaria in the Diocese of Charlotte. These norms will allow for the expansion of our existing columbarium.
St. Matthew will follow all that is outlined in these norms and comply with diocesan policies. At this time, there is no waitlist for pre-need sales of niches. Space will first be offered to families with loved ones awaiting inurnment who have entrusted St. Matthew with their care.
Once the expansion project is underway and a timeline and expected completion date are determined, further communication will be shared with next steps.
