We all have our routines. Familiar places. The same seat at Mass. But life does not always stay predictable. Loss, illness, uncertainty, or unexpected change can place us somewhere we never anticipated and invite us to reflect on where God is meeting us now.

This Lent, the parish invites you into Same Seat?, a six-week journey exploring how God meets us in life’s unexpected places. Through short weekly videos, parishioner stories, and guided reflection, participants will encounter real stories of faith, including caring for a former spouse through illness, reshaping family life to care for a disabled grandchild, and waiting on God when plans fall through.

Join a small group, attend on-campus sessions beginning Ash Wednesday, Feb. 18, or participate on your own schedule. No matter what seat you are in this season, there is a place for you here. Join us this Lent for Same Seat? found on our YouTube channel @StMatthewCatholicChurch and our website. 

Christ Renews Us is a retreat for the men and women of St. Matthew. The parishioner-led experience is designed to foster a sense of community that will make this very large parish smaller and more manageable for you. Your faith will grow stronger; you will make new friends, and your spirit will be renewed by attending a Christ Renews Us Men’s or Women’s Retreat. Registration buttons are below.

On Friday, March 27, at 6 pm in the main campus church, the children of our parish bring to life the Stations of the Cross and the Passion of Jesus in Journey with Jesus, a beautiful, powerful and prayerful reenactment of Christ’s final hours. 

Starting at 6 pm in the Parish Center Gym, our teens will help prepare the palms for Palm Sunday. 

All are invited to enjoy pizza in the Parish Center Family Room from 5 to 7 pm.
 

Join us on Good Friday, April 3, at 7 pm in the church for a Lenten pilgrimage of Christ’s Passion brought to life through music and prayer. This powerful and contemplative evening is recommended for anyone seeking a unique and compelling addition to Holy Week.

Warm up your Friday nights with food, faith, and fellowship. This Lent, we invite you to bypass the kitchen and join your parish family in the Parish Center for our meatless dinners.

Each week from 5:30 pm to 7 pm, a different parish group will be serving up a delicious meat-free meal. It’s the perfect way to slow down, catch up with friends, and enjoy a great community atmosphere before your Friday evening devotions.

While the meals are free, we graciously accept donations at the door. We look forward to sharing a meal with you soon!

Join Deacon Joe Becker for a meaningful two-night presentation exploring the myths and truths of what the Catholic Church teaches about purgatory. Whether you are curious, unsure, or simply want to grow in understanding, all are welcome.

Christians in Career Transition (CICT) is a support ministry that assists active job seekers as well as employed individuals considering a job change. We meet with clients on the first and third Mondays of each month in New Life Center 132/125 to provide guidance and support.

The current job market is challenging. The most effective way our clients can find a job is through networking. Participating in networking does not require having an open position; it simply involves occasionally responding to an email from a CICT client to answer a few questions about your company or area of expertise. By participating, you can help shorten the time frame of our clients’ job searches. We invite all parishioners to join our newly formed CICT network. If you are willing to accept an occasional networking email, please click the button below to complete the form.
